Before moving to Navasota, Steve enjoyed his roles as Education Minister, Associate Pastor, and Senior Pastor. He holds a B.A. in Religion, a Master of Divinity in Theology, and a Doctor of Ministry degree.

Steve and his wife, Lou Vonne, love living in Navasota. Family is their special joy: daughter, Audrey and son-in-law Jamey Yadon (Waco); Isaac and Cristina Johnson, plus their three sons (College Station). Their pastimes include reading, yard work, and enjoying state parks across Texas. Steve serves as secretary for his neighborhood homeowners association.

Steve and Lou Vonne are eager volunteers in their local church. Steve still preaches occasionally in area pulpits. Serving families through Nobles Funeral Chapel is a natural extension of his vocation as pastor.
