Woodrow Patterson, 91, of Anderson passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at The Sheridan of Navasota. Visitation will be from 5 - 7pm Wednesday and funeral services are set for 10am Thursday, both at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2pm Thursday at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
Woodrow was born in White Hall on September 28, 1919, the son of Louis & Sally (Hammock) Patterson. He married Ora Shead on October 31, 1942 and loved her for 68 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lewis, Ernest, Pricy, Shelby and Lois; and sisters, Dora Lee, Bobby, Aubrey and Evelyn.
Survivors include his wife; sons & daughter-in-law, Woodrow Patterson, Jr. of League City, and David Lee & Carol Patterson of Montgomery; sisters, Oletha Cook of Ft. Worth and Viola Mitchell of Cleveland; 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews & friends.
