William Nobles

Mr. William "Bill" Nobles, 81, of Navasota passed away Tuesday, May 31 at the Sheridan of Navasota. The family will receive visitors at 6pm Thursday at Nobles Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7pm. Funeral services are set for 10am Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Navasota with the Rev. Don Kasper officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Bill was born in Navasota on December 21, 1929, the son of Floyd and Effie (Brewer) Nobles. He married Erna Feldmann in Navasota on December 21, 1946, and loved her for 63 years until her death in 2010. His hobbies included woodworking, fishing and hunting, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren, who called him "PawPaw".
He was preceded in death by his wife; grandson, Douglas Wayne Nobles; brother, Luther Nobles; brothers-in-law, Don Fuqua and Bob Harville; and sister-in-law, Joyce Nobles.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Billy Jean Nagy of Navasota, Kathy and Stephen Terrell of College Station, Rita and John Baty of Buffalo, and Wanda and Robert White of Franklin; son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Sandy Nobles of Anderson; sisters, Lydia Fuqua, Bessie Harville and Ruby Sage, all of Navasota; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Betty Nobles of Bryan; 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Troy Nagy of San Antonio, Roy Nagy of Boerne, Allan Garrett of Marble Falls, Michael Baty of Buffalo, Jamie Kitkoski of Anderson and Russell White of Bremond.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church of Navaosta.
