William “Bill” Collins Bradley, 96, of Plantersville, entered into rest Monday, June 9th at his residence. He was welcomed into paradise by his parents, wives, a host of friends and relatives and most of all, his Savior Jesus Christ. A gathering of friends and family will be held Wednesday evening, June 11th from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of his life will be at 10:00am, Thursday, June 12th, also at Nobles Funeral Chapel followed by interment at South Park Cemetery in Houston at 2:30pm. The Rev. Hal Wychopen will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Bill was born on December 12, 1917 in a two story home in Almeda, Texas to George Elmer Bradley and Eliza Jennie Webb Davidson. He lived in Pearland, Texas, most of his young life. He married Mildred Irene Hood and together they had three daughters and a son. He moved his family in 1959 to Plantersville to start a dairy farm and continued until 1972. He cared for his cattle and baled hay until the age of 94 when his eyesight began to fail him. He was pro-active in the Republican Party and would not hesitate to contact Washington, D.C., Austin or Grimes County about anything he disagreed with. He descended from a long list of patriotic family members. He will be missed by his family, friends and associates. The family wishes to thank Gerty Dennis and Traditions Home Health Care for their great service and a special thank you to his grandson Jeremy, who was his primary caregiver. It takes a special person with a rare gift to sit and watch a loved one slip away, and be unable to do anything but offer the comfort of your love and presence.
