Mr. William "Bill" Grey Ford Jr

July 22, 1927 — February 8, 2018

Mr. William (Bill) Grey Ford, Jr., 90 of Bryan, passed away Thursday, February 8th at his home. A private family memorial service is planned for a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

William was born July 22, 1927 in New Orleans, Louisiana to William Grey Ford, Sr., and Agnes (Willie) Ford. He graduated from high school and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He married Louise Haferkamp and worked as an electrician in the construction industry to provide for his family. Although an accomplished electrician, there wasn’t much that he couldn’t build or make; he was a self-proclaimed “jack of all trades” who enjoyed building and fixing just about anything. Bill loved people and never met a stranger. He enjoyed his family and friends immensely and was happiest when surrounded by them. Bill took great pride in having served in the Navy and being a veteran was something he held very close to his heart. One of his favorite things to do was create memories travelling with his wife, Louise.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Ford of Bryan; daughters and sons-in-law Barbara and Chris Morris of Arlington and Vickie and James Bittle of San Diego, CA; son and daughter-in-law Ronald and Kathleen Becker of New Waverly; brother-in-law Henry Haferkamp of Bryan; brother Robert K. Ford of Houston; sister-in-law Eleanor Ford of Bryan; grandchildren Megan Powell and husband, Lyndon; Austin Bittle and wife, Courtney and Stewart Bittle great-grandchildren Mason Becker and Titus and Cora Powell and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Ford was preceded in death by his parents; brother Charles Ford; sisters-in-law Karen Ford and Dolores Haferkamp and grandson Ben Becker.
