Wilbert "Bobby" Boenker, 80, of Washington passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008 at his residence.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 13 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the family present from 5:00-7:00 pm. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Friedens U.C.C. of Washington with Rev. Ron Trimmer officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Bobby was born in Washington on November 15, 1927, son of Fritz and Malinda (Gruebe) Boenker. He worked as the ranch manager for Tom J. Moore for 44 years. He was also a Washington County Deputy Constable and a member of the Quarter Horse Association.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Russell Boenker; and brother, Marius Boenker.
He is survived by his wife Mae Belle Buck Boenker; brother and sisters-in-law, William "Billy" & Barbara Joyce Boenker of Washington and Catherine Adkins of Navasota; grandchildren, Preston & Melissa Boenker and Tina Boenker and fianc?e Justin Groce, all of Washington; great-grandchildren, Lane Bobby Boenker, Dustin Roy Boenker, and Robert Brady Boenker; very dear friend, Edna Schroeder of Washington; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Serving as pallbearers are Wayne Boenker of Bryan, Donnie Wilson of Houston, Danny Kurten of Navasota, Arthur Roy Liere of Hockley, Roger Finke, Preston Boenker, Stanley Haferkamp, and Marion Busa, all of Washington. Honorary pallbearers include, Walter Dickschat, Frank Dickschat, Clifford Greene, Justin Boenker, Charles Davis, and Ray Calfee.
Memorial contributions may be made to Friedens U.C.C. or the Brenham Hospice.
