Mr. Waymon Lambert, 78, of Plantersville, passed away at his home Saturday, November 19, 2022. Visitation with family and friends will be held Wednesday, November, 23rd from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will immediately follow beginning at 2:00 PM with Rev. Stanley Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Plantersville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Waymon was born in Houston, TX, on August 14, 1944, to Pickins Davis Lambert, Sr. & Onie Elizabeth Kizer Lambert. While attending school at Conroe High School, he met Sharon Schultz. He asked her out on a date, and the rest is history. The couple later married on March 11, 1966, and raised three children.
Waymon was a welder and fabricator for several decades before working at Krogers in his later years. He loved being on the water, eating, and listening to his favorite artists such as Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Elvis Presley, and The Seekers. He had a contagious laugh and loved the times spent with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a half brother, and a half sister.
Mr. Lambert is survived by his children, Kenneth Lambert and wife Tammy, Michael Lambert and wife Alicia, and Carroll Lester and husband David; brother Pickens Davis Lambert, Jr.; grandchildren, James Harlan, Kayln Lambert, Jennifer (Harlan) Morgan, Kathryn Lambert, Kenese Lambert, Kara Lambert, and Corynne Lambert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Grover Ferguson, Roy Warman, Wesley McGee, Roy Lilies, Dustin Wood, and Kalvin Arnsworth. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Wood, James Harlan, and Kevin Mock.
