Walter Ward

Walter Ward, 80, of Plantersville passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2008 in Tomball. Visitation is Friday, January 11 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the family present from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services are set for Saturday, January 12, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Joe Hejl officiating. Interment will follow in Plantersville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Walter was born on January 24, 1927 in Blum, Texas, son of Dura Lee (Green) and Jay Ward. Throughout his life, his family was always his first priority.
He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-seven years, Margaret Ward; daughter, Dinah Dennis; son, Carl Ward; and sister, Fay Bailey.
Walter is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Mitzi and Richard Byars of Plantersville, and Lona Goodson of Plantersville; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Tammy Ward of Plantersville; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Colby Ward of Plantersville, Joe Hejl of Dobbin, Jimmy Hejl of Magnolia, Bruce Ward of Conroe, Jacob Williams of Houston, Walter Bateman of Plantersville and Tony Ward Jr. of Plantersville.
