Wallace Armatys, 77, of Navasota passed away Friday, July 6, 2007, in College Station.
He was born on December 7, 1929, in Washington, Texas, son of Mrs. Veronica Krotofield and Mr. John Thedo Armatys.
Mr. Armatys was a member of the Sons of Hermann Lodge and the Washington Shooting Club.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 8 at Friedens Church of Washington UCC in Washington. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, July 7 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Armatys is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret Wellmann Armatys of Navasota; best friend Neal Bosse of Navasota; sisters and brothers-in-law, Leona & Joe Pasket, Angelina & Wallace Petersen, and Rufus Smith, all of Navasota, and William H. Wellmann of Washington; sisters-in-law, Dolly Ruth Armatys of Burton, Betty Jo Armatys of Stoneham, Margaret H. Armatys of Navasota, and Elsie Ladd of Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Veronica Armatys; brothers, Max, Steve, Andrew, Frank, and Pete Armatys; sister; Annie Smith; sisters-in-law, Irene Armatys, Clara Woods, and Leona Wellmann; brothers-in-law, James Wellmann and Ray Ladd.
Serving as pallbearers are Charles Wellmann of Navasota, Tracy and Craig Wellmann of Washington, James Armatys of Navasota, Reagie Ebner of Ledbetter, James Shiflett of Navasota, Kevin Bosse of Brenham, and Eddie Bosse of College Station. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Clifford James, Fred Homeyer, W.T. Blair, Bud Powell, Dr. L.O. Coleman, Randy Stapp, Clell Goodson, Randy Hemann, Robert Nobles, Leonard Dickschat, Charlie Ketchum, and Wayne Bosse.
Memorials may be donated to the Friedens Church of Washington UCC Memorial Fund.
