Vivian Walker

November 16, 1919 — April 11, 2011

Vivian Walker, 91, of Richards passed away Monday, April 11, 2011. Born to a Texas pioneer family in Liberty County, she grew up in Hull, Texas with her parents, W.C. and Nettie Morgan and her sister, Ruth. She married Lacy Walker in 1940. As Lacy's career in pipeline construction grew, they had many residences throughout North and South America. They thoroughly enjoyed their lives together. After his retirement, they made Richards their home until his death in 1979. Loving the land and the people, Vivian continued to live there.
She is survived by her sister Ruth Morgan Perry and her husband William J. Perry; several nephews and many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. She was a cherished member of her family and has left many fond and loving memories.
As a faithful member of the Richards Baptist Church her services will be at the church on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Visitation will be at 10am with services following at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Richards. A reception will follow at the church.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the many helpers, caregivers and friends who assisted Vivian.
