Mrs. Vivian Kathleen Upcheshaw, 89, of Navasota, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Grimes St. Joseph Health Center. Funeral services are set for 2:00pm Wednesday, August 23, at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Mrs. Upcheshaw was born April 22, 1920 in Muskogee, OK, to Oscar P. & Maudie May (Traylor) Bearden. She married J.George Upcheshaw in Dallas on August 15, 1959.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Everett Miller.
Mrs. Upcheshaw is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Eli F. & Ann Harris, Jr. of Mesquite, Everett G. & Rosemary Upcheshaw and Michael A. & Kaylla Harris, all of Navasota; sisters, Lucille Bryant of Garland and Virginia McLeod & husband Billy of Terrell; brothers & sisters-in-law, Willard L. & Sally Miller and Jack & Debbie Miller, all of Mesquite, Glenn & Ruthie Miller of Dallas and Texana Miller of Sandy Lake; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mitchell Harris and Randy Harris of Forney; Richard Harris of Rockwall; Michael Harris, Jr. of Arlington; and Zachary and Jackson Upcheshaw of Navasota.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Brazos Animal Shelter.
