Mr. Tommy Voelter, 91, of Navasota, passed away Tuesday, September 3, at Navasota Nursing & Rehab. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 7, at 10:30 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Anderson with Rev. Matthias Dinger officiating.
Tommy was born on July 7, 1933, in Anderson, Texas, and was a lifelong Grimes County resident. He was the owner of Tommy's Barber Shop and in earlier years operated a small dairy and enjoyed raising small herds of cattle and producing hay.
He was predeceased by his parents, Fritz and Emma Voelter, his wife, Sondra D. Voelter, brothers George, Fred, and Alvin, and sisters Julia Leiber, Mabel Raif, and Lillian Pratt.
Tommy is survived by nephews, nieces, extended family members, and good friends and helpful neighbors. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Navasota VFW Post 4006. Tommy’s family wishes to thank his special caregiver Dorothy for her faithful and compassionate care.
