Teresa Nancarrow, 50 of Navasota, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at CHI St. Joseph Emergency Center in College Station. A private memorial service is scheduled for a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Teresa was born August 22, 1967 in El Paso, Texas. She was raised by her maternal grandmother, Clara Calzada. At the young age of 13, Teresa lost her grandmother and she went to live with her brother Antonio and his wife. While in high school, they moved to Navasota where she attended and graduated from Navasota High School. In 1986, Teresa married Luther Nancarrow. Together they had two children. A generous and selfless woman, Teresa welcomed anyone needing a place to lay their head or a meal to eat. She loved to cook for a house full of people, often using fresh produce from the garden she meticulously tended. Teresa was very creative. She enjoyed sewing and also made homemade soaps, cleaners and candles using all natural products. She and husband, Luther created furniture and owned their home-based furniture business. She loved spending time with family and the beach was her “happy place”. Her life was forever changed and she fell head over heels in love the moment she became a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the love of her life and she cherished every moment spent with them.
She is survived by her husband Luther Nancarrow; daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and David Mendoza; sons and daughter-in-law Elijah Nancarrow and Richard and Diana Palacio; brothers and sisters-in-law Antonio and Maria Rivas and Francisco and Christyne Miranda; grandchildren Carter Nancarrow and Melissa Palacio and nephews Joshua and Anthony “Franky” Miranda.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Clara Calzada.
