Sue Bennatt Davis

Sue Evelyn Bennatt Davis, 80, of Navasota passed away Thursday, December 27, 2007 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, December 30 at 2:00 pm at Shiro Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Sue was born on March 15, 1927 in Richards, Texas, daughter of Sudie (Post) and Benjamin Groce Bennatt. She graduated from Richards High School and attended Baylor University in Waco where she majored in mathematics. Along with operating numerous businesses in Shiro with her husband, Sue worked as an accountant for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Houston. She was a member of the Daughters of the Texas Republic and was lovingly known as "Sis" by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Sangster Davis, Jr. and brother, Benjamin G. Bennatt, Jr.
She is survived by her brother, Jim Bob Bennatt of Richards, three nephews, and six nieces.
