Sotera Espinoza

Mrs. Sotera Silva Espinoza, 77, of Navasota, passed away Friday, November 11th at the Grimes St. Joseph Health Center. Visitation will be Monday, November 14 at Nobles Funeral Chapel beginning at 6:00pm with a parish rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00am Tuesday at Christ Our Light Catholic Church with the Rev. Rodolfo "Jojo" L. Cal-Ortiz officiating. Rite of committal will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Sotera was born on April 22, 1934 in Moctezuma, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She married Martin Espinoza on May 20, 1954.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Pedro and Pablo Espinoza; and sister, Andrea Espinoza.
She is survived by her husband, Martin Espinoza of Navasota; children and their spouses, Alberto and Angelina Espinoza, and Amador and Minerva Espinoza, all of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, Maria Guadalupe and Abel Ochoa. Teresa and Antonio Encinas, Maria de Jesus and Refugio Sanchez, Jose Clemente and Lucy Espinoza, Maria Ines and Felipe Sanchez, Rogelio and Gloria Espinoza, Ana Laura and Policarpo Vasquez, and Juana Patricia and Manuel Ramirez, all of Navasota; sisters, Santos Espinoza of Dallas and Daniela Espinoza of Houston; 31 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Clemente Espinoza, Rogelio Espinoza, Jesus Rodriguez, Joel Lopez, Jr., Felipe Sanchez, Tito Espinoza, Carlos Vasquez, Ernesto Sanchez, Marco Encinas and Rogelio Espinoza, Jr.
