Mrs. Sophie Wehmeier

February 21, 1922 — January 10, 2015

Mrs. Sophie (Hemann) Wehmeier, 92, of Navasota, passed away Saturday, January 10th at Golden Creek Healthcare. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 5:00 - 7:00pm, Friday, January 16th at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of her life will be at 10:00am, Saturday, January 17th at Salem Lutheran Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Christopher Richardson will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Wehmeier was born February 21, 1922 in Navasota to Fritz Hemann and Katie Lenz Hemann. She married Martin Wehmeier and raised a son, Martin, Jr. She is survived by him and his wife, Loretta, of Missouri City, Texas; sister-in-law, Ivy Dell Hemann of Navasota; grandson Matthew; special nephew Jerry Sturm and close friend Martha Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Martin Wehmeier, Sr.; sisters Hilda Abke, Christine Abke, Ida Marzan, and Erdine Lauter; and a brother, Herbert Hemann.

Serving as pallbearers are Jerry Sturm of Navasota, Johnnie Ray Abke of Cleveland, Ricky Abke of New Caney, Kennard Finke of Washington, Charles Falco of Navasota and Herbert Dodge Hemann of Navasota.
