Sonia Yaneth Torres Gonzalez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sonia Yaneth Torres Gonzalez, a devoted wife, beloved daughter, and cherished friend. She left this world on March 12, 2025, at the age of 30, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering authenticity.

Born on March 19, 1994, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Sonia moved to Texas as a young girl, where she built a life full of laughter, deep friendships, and unforgettable moments. Her intelligence and beauty were matched only by her fierce spirit—she was never afraid to speak her mind and stand up for what she believed in. Those who knew her admired her strength, her kindness, and the way she could light up a room with her presence.

She touched countless lives with her generosity, wisdom, and unwavering loyalty. Whether it was through a heartfelt conversation, a shared adventure, or a simple moment of laughter, she made a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Erik Navarro; loving parents, Jose Guadalupe Torres and Sonia Gonzalez Medina; Sister, Cinthia Torres; Brother, Jose Torres; Goddaughter, Samantha Kiabeth Lopez; Godson, Sebastian Lopez; and a wide circle of friends who will forever cherish the time they had with her.

Visitation with family and friends will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Nobles Funeral Chapel from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a rosary immediately following at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Christ Our Light Catholic Church at 9:30 AM with Rev. Giovanni Nguyen officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Rest in peace, Sonia. You were loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
