Sharon Ann (Carruth) Eppler, 71, of Navasota passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 10:00am, Monday, March 10th at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Buddy Hogue and Rev. Randy Weaver officiating.
She was born on September 21, 1942 to Joe Carruth and Francis Pauline Brown in Little Rock, Arkansas. She met and married Eddie Wayne Eppler, Sr., and together they raised a daughter and two sons. Sharon worked for the Texas A&M Extension Service for 30 years, and served our local youth as a 4-H leader for 25 years. Upon her retirement, she derived a great deal of joy from her grandbabies and her animals. She loved to spend time with her husband, relaxing and going for rides in the country. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.
Mrs. Eppler is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Eddie; her daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Rayburn Imhoff of Plantersville; her sons and daughter-in-law, Eddie Wayne Eppler, Jr., of Navasota and Joey and Nancy Eppler of Navasota; a sister, Anita Machin and husband, John, of Canada; a brother, Sonny Carruth and wife Judy of Austin; an aunt, Billye Brown, of Garland; her grandchildren, Tyler and Shelton Eppler of Navasota; Laramie Eppler of Iowa Park; and Rance, Josey and Cooper Imhoff of Plantersville; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, and sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Dudley Lowe.
