Mrs. Sadie "Candace" Mahaffey

Sadie “Candace” Mahaffey, 83, of College Station died at Scott and White Hospital on Sunday, October 13, 2013. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 15th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 16th at 10:00 a.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Oakland Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Thomasson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Sadie was born in Navasota on Wednesday, October 16, 1929, the daughter of Frank Antone and Fannie L. (Syms) Antone .
Mrs. Mahaffey is survived by her husband Russell Mahaffey of College Station; nephews, Jim Sluder and wife Lisa, David Beene and wife Cindy, Richard Beene and wife Eliza; nieces, Dyane Thomasson and husband Paul, Debra McCall and many more nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marie “Minnie” Beene; brothers, Virgil Jones and Luther Jones.
Serving as pallbearers are Richard Beene of Houston, Matthew Thomasson of Houston, Jim Sluder of College Station, Johnny Jones of Huntsville, Ray Jones of Navasota and Zachariah Melton of Wharton. Honorary pallbearer is David Beene of Crosby.
