Ruby Murphy, 77, of Magnolia passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at her residence. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm Monday, August 30 at Nobles Funeral Chapel and funeral services are set for 1pmTuesday, August 31 at Zion Lutheran Church in Tomball, under the direction of Rev. Jerome Teichmiller. A graveside service will follow at 3pm in Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.
Ruby was born September 19, 1932 in East Bernard, to Willie & Alma (Hein) Buschmann. She was involved with the "Willing Workers" at Zion Lutheran Church, and she loved her family, gardening, and was a big Nascar fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Murphy.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Thompson of Benbrook, Sharon Carter & husband Ronnie of Parker, CO, Shirley Novak & husband Marvin of Seabrook, and Gayle Woolsey of Tomball; sister, Rosalie Tubbs of Temple; grandchildren, Traci, Jodi, Joni, Jenni, Blake, and Travis; and great-grandchildren, Paige, Evan, Evey, Brooklynn, Aydan, Ava, and Hunter.
Serving as pallbearers are Dennis Black, Kirt Black, Karl Black, Kenneth Murphy, Donald Murphy, William Tubbs and Michael Tubbs.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the "Willing Workers" at Zion Lutheran Church in Tomball.
