Roy Mckinney,

Mr. Roy Dean McKinney, Jr., 70, of Plantersville passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at his residence.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 19 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with Bobby Carraway officiating. Interment will follow in Plantersville Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, August 18 at Nobles Funeral Chapel from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mr. McKinney was born August 17, 1936, in Navasota to Roy Dean McKinney, Sr. and Freida Scott McKinney.
Mr. McKinney was an over the road truck driver who enjoyed working on Peterbilt trucks and riding John Deere tractors.
He is survived by his wife, Kay McKinney of Plantersville; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy & Marvin Wooley of Plantersville, Sandra Abernathy of Plantersville, and Patsy & Roy Day of Lolo, Montana; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry & Paige Martin of Green Brier, Arkansas and Richard & Susan Hale of Houston; sister and brother-in-law, Molly & Bobby Carraway of Plantersville; brothers, Dan and Marvin McKinney, both of Plantersville; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Freida McKinney and sister, Elizabeth Cruthirds.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Plantersville Cemetery Association.
