Rosalie Patranella Vacante

Rosalie Patranella Vacante, 77, of Navasota, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Calling hours will be Friday, April 12, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Navasota followed by a vigil service and rosary at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Rodolfo "JoJo" L. Cal-Ortiz as the celebrant. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Our Light Catholic Church with Rev. Monsignor John A. McCaffrey of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan, Texas as the celebrant. The rite of committal will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Rosalie "Meme" was born in Bryan, Texas on January 20, 1936, the daughter of John F. Patranella and Laura (Carrabba) Patranella. She was the secretary/bookkeeper for many years with the family owned business, Farmers Clinic and Auto Repair, and a member of Christ Our Light Catholic Church.
Rosalie "Meme" will always be remembered for her love and compassion, her strong faith and her love for God, for being young at heart and for being a protector and provider of her family. She was truly loved and will be missed by all who touched her life.
Rosalie "Meme" was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Frank Vacante, Sr.; sister, Lucy Grizzaffi and brothers, Frank Patranella, John Patranella and Benny Patranella.
She is survived by brothers, Charlie Patranella and wife Leah of Rockdale, Texas, Barney Patranella and wife Doris, Anthony Patranella, sister-in-law Lena Patranella and sister-in-law Josephine Patranella all of Bryan, Texas.
Daughters, Lucille Hilley, son-in-law, Wilbert Hilley, Loretta Luna, Marilyn Hilley and husband Charles, Sandra Gilbert and husband Steve and son, Frank Vacante, Jr. and Fiancé Michelle Guthrie.
Grandsons, Frank A. Vacante, III and wife Stephanie, Scott A. Vacante and wife Kim, Jonathan Vacante and wife Sarah and Travis Vacante. Steven Gilbert, Jr. and wife Brandy, Scott Gilbert and wife Bobbie, Matt Hilley, Chris Hilley, Lewis Hilley, Thomas Navarro and Steve Navarro and wife Melissa, Dillon Guthrie and Wacey Abke.
Granddaughters, Lisa Hilley Abke, Sharon Harris and husband Steven and Machelle Phillips and husband Bobby. Twenty-four great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Frank A. Vacante, III, Scott Vacante, Jonathan Vacante, Travis Vacante, Steven Gilbert, Jr., Scott Gilbert, Dillon Guthrie, Wacey Abke, Matt Hilley, Lewis Hilley, Chris Hilley, Thomas Navarro II and Steve Navarro. Honorary pallbearers are all of her great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
