Rosa Lee was born August 5, 1933 in Calvert, Texas to Lorenzo and Melicia (Lara) Duran, and was the youngest daughter of five siblings. Both of her parents died when she was three and she and her sisters and brothers were raised by family. She met Gene Baldobino, Sr., in Navasota when she was 16 years old and they married at the young age of 18 and together they had seven children. Rosa Lee was a homemaker and her life revolved around raising and taking care of her children. She loved the beauty of roses, and she lovingly tended her rose beds to showcase the many colors she had. Family vacations consisted of travelling to Dallas or Waco to visit her brothers and sisters and their families. As her children grew up and started their own families, Rosa Lee found her joy in loving and taking care of all of the grand children and then great-grandbabies. The holidays were extra special, as her home was filled with the family she loved.
Rosa Lee is survived by her daughter, Beatrice Baldobino; sons and daughters-in-law Gene Baldobino, Jr., and wife Jules, Roy Baldobino, and Joe Baldobino and wife Amy; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers are Chris Baldobino, Daniel Perez, Aidan Baldobino, Willie Baldobino, Jimmy Baldobino, Lorenzo Cortez, Benito Cortez, Roy Torres and Jeremy Baldobino.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons Martin, John and Jessie Baldobino and Gene Baldobino, Sr., the father of her children.
