Ronnie Leiber, 53, of Navasota passed away Thursday, September 27, 2007, in College Station.
He was born on Saturday, January 16, 1954, in Navasota, son of Adeline Lizzie (Schroeder) and Oscar Fritz Leiber.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 1, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Donald Kasper and Reverend John Treude officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
After graduating from Navasota High School in 1972, Mr. Leiber continued his education at Blinn College in Brenham, earning an Associate of Arts Degree in 1974. He then furthered his education by attending Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, first receiving his Bachelors of Business Administration Degree in 1976 and finally a Masters Degree in Education and a Certificate in Counseling in 1980. He was a counselor for Navasota High School since 1982.
Mr. Leiber was very active in the community holding memberships in the Navasota Kiwanis Club, State Office for Texas Vocational Guidance Association, Area V-President, Brazos Valley Tech Prep Board of Directors, Brazos Valley Quality Workforce Committee, Gender Equality Board Member Region VI Esc, various offices of Trinity Lutheran Church including Elder Finance Board, Board of Education, and various committees.
Mr. Leiber is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry & Marlene Leiber of Sealy and Dennis & Linda Leiber of Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie & Scott Brooks of Austin; nieces, Stacey Leiber of Sealy, Brooke and Ryan Phillips of Dacus, Chelsea and Cassie Leiber both of Huntsville, and Jill Leiber of Anderson; nephews, Jason Leiber of Sugarland, and Travis Noto of College Station.
Serving as pallbearers were Stanley Ketler, T.W. Carpenter, Ryan Ruthledge, Bill Watson, Ronnie Hemann, and Pierce Key.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adeline & Oscar Leiber.
