Mr. Roger Allan Bocock, 80, of Hempstead passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at his residence. The family will receive visitors from 2-5pm Saturday and funeral services are set for 11am Sunday, both at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Vavroch officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Roger was born in Houston on June 15, 1931, the son of James and Ella (Schafstall) Bocock.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Roger is survived by his wife, Gertrude Bocock of Hempstead; son, Roger A. Bocock, Jr. of Hempstead; daughters & sons-in-law, Susan and Tony Vlahakis and Pamela and John Wilkerson, all of Houston; step-daughter, Donna Coquyt of Winter Haven, FL; first cousin, Doris Binford of Navasota; and numerous grandchildren.
