Mr. Robert P. Viets, 71, of Plantersville, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2009 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 13th at Plantersville Cemetery in Plantersville.
Robert was born February 5, 1937 to Elmer & Dorothy (Groppe) Viets in Dallas, TX. He married Sylvia Dominic on June 23, 1962 in Dallas, and the couple enjoyed 46 years of companionship.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Viets is survived by his wife Sylvia Viets; daughter and son-in-law, Julie & Mark Macdonell of Sugarland; son & daughter-in-law, Steve & Donna Viets of Plantersville; sister & brother-in-law, Kristy & Judd Neff of Dallas; and granddaughters, Britny & Heather Viets of Plantersville and Jennifer & Alexa Macdonell of Sugarland.
