Robert David Swinney, 76, of Plantersville, passed away Friday, July 25, 2008 in Navasota.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 30 at Plantersville Baptist Church in Plantersville with Rev. Hal Wychopen officiating. Interment will follow in the Plantersville Cemetery in Plantersville. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Robert was born on October 22, 1931 in Killeen, the son of James and Bessie (Garner) Swinney.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Robert David Swinney Jr.
Robert is survived by his wife, Julia Swinney of Plantersville; daughters & son-in-laws, Mary Helen Riche of Round Rock, and Lisa Lynn & Jeff Mynes of Jacksonville, FL; sister & brother-in-law, Garnette & George Grisham of Morton, IL; brother & sister-in-law, William A. & Brenda Swinney of Paige; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
