Robert Stone

Mr. Robert J. Stone, 83, of Beaumont passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota. Funeral services will take place Tuesday at 2pm at the funeral home with interment to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel. Robert was born on July 28, 1928, in Westfield, TX, to George & Vivian Stone. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ricky Stone; sister, Georgie Faye; brothers, Terry & Dean Stone; and brother-in-law George Drake. Mr. Stone is survived by his wife, Nettie Stone of Beaumont; son, Robert Stone, Jr., of Bullard; daughter, Sheila Chambliss of Beaumont; sister, Louise Drake of Trinity; brother, Jimbo Stone of Tomball; brother-in-law, Bunck Stanley of Athens; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers are Joel Mead of Gilmer, Ernest Moreland of Navasota, Jason Chambliss of Beaumont, Jake Stone of Hamshire, Jeremy Chambliss of Fannett, and Dustin Freek of Vidor.
