Mr. Robert Leo Loveless, 82 of Navasota, passed away Sunday, January 31st at his home. Due to Covid restrictions, the family is planning a memorial service at a later date. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Robert was born in Alvin, Texas on March 31st, 1938 to William Milton and Lily Irene Loveless. He married Beverly Jean Holder on June 9, 1960 in Alvin. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Upon his discharge and return to the United States, he began working as a truck driver to support his wife and two daughters. He drove for DSI Transport for 25 years. He received two million mile plaques for his safe driving of over 20 years. He could give you road, interstate and driving directions to anywhere in the country. Although a man of very few words, he never met a stranger and could strike up an instant friendship within a conversation. Robert loved his family dearly and cherished the time he spent with them.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Beverly Loveless; daughters and sons-in-law Debbie and J. R. Smith and Terrie and Lynn Kunz; sister and brother-in-law Margie and Johnny Martin; grandchildren Jake Harris, Sierra Harris and fiance Troy, Samantha Davis and husband Brandon, Julia Schomburg and husband Gerald and Aaron Kunz and wife Danielle; 15 great-grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Speedy, Bill and Wilber Loveless; sister Mary Lee Hill and granddaughter, Mandy Kunz.
