Robert "Bob" E. Sullivan, 71, of Navasota, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015, in Bryan. Visitation with family and friends will be Wednesday, June 24th from 6:00 - 8:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, June 25th at 10:00am, also at the funeral chapel with interment following in Oakland Cemetery. Rev. Randy McReynolds will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Bob was born on July 22nd, 1943, in Navasota to Edward and Ruth (Meineke) Sullivan, II. He went to school in Navasota and served our country in the United States Navy. He married Marilyn Gilbert on August 18, 1967 at the First Baptist Church of Navasota and together they raised three children. He worked as an exterminator for several locally owned and operated pest control companies until his retirement.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Marilyn; daughters and son-in-law Carol Marie and Jason Eaton of Navasota, Sara Kathleen "Kate" Thomas of Cypress and Sharon Elizabeth Sullivan of Cypress; sister and brother-in-law Carol Augusta and Granville Dutton of Dallas; and grandchildren Lily Grace Eaton; Sofia Marie Eaton; Jordan Garrett Thomas, Lauren Jolie Sullivan and Mackenzie Ryan Sullivan.
Serving as pallbearers are James Lawrence of Navasota, Alan Hayes, Glen Hayes of Markham, Eddie Sullivan of Bryan and Buck Sullivan of Navasota. Honorary pallbearers include John and Richard Lawrence.
Preceding him in death were his parents; infant son Robert Christopher Sullivan; sisters Elise Lawrence, Marianne Hayes, Martha Jonas and brother Edward Franklin Sullivan, III.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation in Bob's memory to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice Brazos Valley.
