Mr. Ritchie DeeVon Campbell, 85, of College Station, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009 at College Station Medical Center. Visitation will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, March 12, at Brookside Cemetery in Houston, and graveside services will follow at 2:00pm, with Rev. Larry Andrews officiating.
Ritchie was born April 7, 1923 in Oklahoma City, OK, to Percey M. & Audrey E. (Garrett) Campbell. He married Audrey A. Kiel on September 4, 1941. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Navy Gunner, and was a member of the Carpenters Local.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Audrey, son, Carl D. Campbell, brothers, Harold & Billy Joe Campbell, and sister Joy Conway.
Mr. Campbell is survived by his daughters & sons-in-law, Diane & Billy Ford of Iola, and Darlene & Harry Ingram of Boerne; son & daughter-in-law, Dan & Maggie Campbell of Entiat, Washington; 7 grandchildren & 16 great grandchildren.
