Mr. Richard Logan Lawrence, 68 of Navasota, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, December 27, 2020 from complications of pulmonary fibrosis.
Visitation with family and friends will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Wednesday, December 30th at Nobles Funeral chapel. A celebration of his life will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, December 31st, also at the funeral home with interment following in Oakland Cemetery. Pastor Henry Sanders will officiate. A light lunch will follow at Faith Outreach Christian Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Richard was born in Navasota, Texas on September 28, 1952 to Edmond and Elise "Tookie" Lawrence. He graduated from Navasota High School and took an electronics course at Texas A&M. Throughout his career, he worked at Trinity Industries and as a supervisor at Schult Homes. He enjoyed spending time with family and playing with the Hidden Image band on guitar, keyboard and running sound. Richard had a variety of hobbies including dirt track cars, motorcylces, classic cars, music, electronics and target shooting.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mikky; daughter and son-in-law Alyssa and Chad McKay; grandson Taylor McKay; brothers and sisters-in-law John and Glenda Lawrence and James and Jeanny Lawrence; sister Betsy Bosse; stepson Chris Becker; stepdaughter Lisa Lee and husband Neil and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Elise Lawrence; father Edmund Lawrence; grandparents, aunts, uncles and niece Sandy (Bosse) McKeown).
