Ramona Johnson, 75, of Navasota, passed away at her residence on Monday, March 17th. Visitation will be Friday, March 21, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11:00am, also at Nobles Funeral Chapel with interment in Wheat Cemetery in Millican. The Rev. Clyde Larrabee will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Ramona was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on July 10, 1938 to Jessie Smith and Alice Jones Smith. She met and married Jimmie Johnson. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Theresa & Ricky Lane of Navasota; Brenda and Ed Fails of Montgomery; Deborah & John Hayes of Ft. Worth; sons and daughters-in -law Jim & Lynn Johnson of College Station; Dennis & Beverly Johnson of New Braunfels and Tony Johnson of Oklahoma; along with 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jimmie Johnson and son Harold Richardson.
Serving as pallbearers are Scott Armstrong of Millican, Ed Fails of Montgomery, Ricky Lane of Millican, Jeremy Johnson of Magnolia, Jared Brock of Cameron and Austin Hayes of Ft. Worth. Honorary Pallbearers are Brian Johnson of College Station and Hunter Hayes of Ft. Worth.
