Paula Sue Robbins, 59 of Iola, passed away Tuesday, July 2nd at Hospice Brazos Valley Inpatient Facility in Bryan, Texas. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, July 9th at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 10th, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Keith, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Paula was born in Lubbock, Texas on February 22, 1960 to James Dale and Christina (Rennels) Smith. She obtained her Bachelors degree and worked in hotel management/administration. She married Charles Wesley “C.W.” Robbins in Lusk, Wyoming on September 1, 1981 and together they had three children. Paula enjoyed working in her yard, mowing grass and tending the flowers around her home. Until her husbands death in 2007, she enjoyed road trips on their Harley. One of her favorite memories was a family trip to the Frio River in 2004. She was happiest surrounded by the family and friends she loved. Paula had a loving and giving heart, always willing to share a smile or a chat with anyone she ran into.
She is survivied by her daughter, Stephanie Robbins; sons and daughter-in-law James Robbins and George and Jessica Robbins; brother James Franklin and grandchildren, Anthony and Taylor Robbins.
Serving as pallbearers are Lee Robbins, John Robbins, Anthony Robbins, Randy Scott, Brian Carson and David Whitworth. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Tom Robbins.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents; husband C. W. Robbins; sisters Brenda and Cindy and brother, Gary.
