Mr. Orville Brust

Mr. Melbie "Orville" Brust, 85, of Navasota, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Golden Creek Assisted Living Center. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, October 27th at 1:00pm at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota with the Rev. Clyde Larrabee officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Orville was born in Navasota on June 16, 1929 to William L. and Cora (Bush) Brust. He attended high school in Navasota where he was quarterback for the Rattlers in his high school years. He married Bobbie Easton and spent his life ranching in Grimes County. He loved a good game of dominoes, hunting and fishing.

Mr. Brust is survived by his step daughters, Rhonda Smith of Navasota and Lanora Myers of Fayetteville, NC; step sons Gary Baldwin and wife Anita of College Station and Michael Baldwin and wife Sandra of Kosse; nephew John Kyger and wife Marianne of Austin; niece Kathy Hood of Millican; grandchildren Keith, Jeremiah, Kimberly, Rena, Lisa, Jason, Gary, Jr., John, Misty, Larry, Natasha and Robert, and 24 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Bobbie.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
