Mr. Odell Winkelmann

Mr. Odell Winkelmann, 77 of Navasota, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017, at his home. Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, March 25 from 5:00-7:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 26 at 3:00pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthias Dinger officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Odell was born to Willie & Sophie Winkelmann on April 27, 1939, in Austin County. He grew up the youngest of ten children and married June Ueckert on July 20, 1958, in Bellville. He was a manager for Trinity Industries in Navasota for many years before retiring.
Mr. Winkelmann is survived by his wife of 58 years, June Winkelmann; sister and brother-in-law Erline & Ernest Wellmann of Brenham; brother and sister-in-law Leroy & Delores Winkelmann of Bellville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Serving as pallbearers are Marcus Bender, Carl Dahmann, Wade Wellmann, Donald Winkelmann, Robert Winkelmann and Kirby Winkelmann.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, or any charity of your choice.
