Nellie Schaper

Mrs. Nellie "Jeanie" Schaper, 78, of Anderson passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at her home. Visitation with the family will be Friday, May 18 from 4:00-6:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A funeral mass will follow at 6:30 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Anderson with the Rev. Rodolfo "Jojo" L. Cal-Ortiz officiating. A second viewing will take place on Saturday, May 19 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Hayes Funeral Home in Hitchcock followed by graveside services at 1:00pm in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson with the Rev. Wayne Clement officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Nellie was born on December 8, 1933, in Kaplan, LA, the daughter of Leslie & Agnes (Touchet) Clostio. She married Fred W. "Bubby" Schaper in Galveston on November 16, 1951.
Mrs. Schaper was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son, Larry J. Schaper.
She is survived by her sons, Dale Schaper & wife Jody of Bedias and Glen Schaper & wife Donna of Brenham; daughter, Melissa Vezurk & husband Blake of Anderson; grandchildren, D.J. Schaper & wife Hillary, Stacie Hunsacker & husband Joe, Bryan Schaper & wife Ginessa, Glen Schaper, Jr. & wife Teresa, Michelle Bosse & husband Eddie, Ryan Schaper & wife Ashley, Lindsey Schwierzke & husband Mike, Christopher Schaper, Cash Williams & wife Lauren, Morgan Schaper, Connor Vezurk, and Lauren Vezurk; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons and honorary pallbearers include Danny "Bubba" Cleary of Brenham and Tommy Stunson of La Marque.
