Mildred Lockie

October 10, 1932 — September 25, 2007

Mildred Janet Lockie, 74, of Navasota, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 28 at the First United Methodist Church of Navasota with the Rev. J.K. "Tim" Bruegger officiating. Interment will follow in Houston National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be held Thursday at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the family present from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Lockie was born on October 10, 1932 in West Point, Indiana, daughter of Merle and Ruth Reeves.
She enjoyed spending time outdoors with horses, cows, chicken, and geese as well as gardening, particularly roses. During her time spent indoors, she loved watching old movies and had a particular interest in British comedies. An avid singer, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Navasota Choir. She was also a member of the Millican Ladies Club.
Mrs. Lockie was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, William Melvin Angstadt, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Dale Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Lockie; daughters and son-in-laws, Mearleen and Tommy Stockbridge of Willis, Shearleen and Paul Leman, Jr. of Magnolia, Darleen and Archie Clark of Navasota; step-daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Mike Kriger of College Station; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Laura Angstadt of Navasota; step-son and daughter-in-law, Jay & Deb Lockie of Grover Hill, Ohio; sister, Thelma Smith of West Point, Indiana; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Carol Reeves of West Point, Indiana; twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Jerry and Jason Angstadt of Navasota, Edward Reyna of Navasota, Richard Stockbridge of Cleveland, Shawn Lemen of Montgomery, and Sergio Sauter of Magnolia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley.
