Melvin Busse, 81, of Navasota passed away Monday, September 24, 2007, in Navasota.
He was born on March 19, 1926, in Navasota, son of Emma (Abke) and William Busse.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 26 at 10 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Whitehall with Reverend Wayne Schumpe officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Busse served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.
Mr. Busse is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law Janis & Dennis Frenzel of Navasota, Wyndy & George Kimich of Navasota; son, Troy Busse of Anderson; sister, Ida Finke of Brenham; seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma & William Busse; sons, Carl Busse and Don Busse; brothers, Ervin Busse and Herbert Busse; sisters, Esther Hemann, and Erna Busse.
Serving as pallbearers are Ray Busse, Robert Frenzel, Kenneth Busse, Cabe Busse, Brady Frenzel, Carl M. Busse, and Brian Busse; honorary pallbearers are Charlie Busse and Forey Frenzel.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association or Salem Lutheran Church of Whitehall.
