Mary “Jane” Neal Robinson, 83, passed away on Monday, January 3rd, surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be held at the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery in Iola, Texas on Saturday, January 8th at 1:00 pm. Rev. Matt Higginbotham will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Jane was born in Roswell, New Mexico on February 13, 1938 to Francis and Brewer Neal. Jane married her high school sweetheart, Dale Robinson, on June 29, 1957. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June 2017. Jane and Dale raised two daughters in Austin, Texas. She was active in Newcomers and Roanns for many years in Austin. Jane was also an excellent quilter and passed along her cherished quilts to her family. Once retired, Dale and Jane moved to their little slice of heaven in the country where they enjoyed peace and quiet and the wildlife from their porch. Jane was an avid reader and enjoyed nothing more than curling up on the couch with a good book. She was a member of the Rockdale Baptist Church and dearly enjoyed her church family.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter, Kimberly Doty.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Troy Smith and Katherne and Tim Carson; grandsons Dale Robinson and wife Jessica and Robert Carson; great-grandchildren Hailee and John and sister and brother-in-law Dian and David Bashford.
