Mrs. Martha Rabun, 78, of Navasota, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 23rd at Grimes St. Joseph Hospital. Martha was born in Leming, Texas on April 1, 1937 to Charlie Edward Rhodes and Nina (Martin) Rhodes. On December 22, 1954 in Hempstead, she married Edwin M. Rabun and together they raised three sons. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Martha enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending time with her family. She loved the Christmas holiday season, working in her flowers beds, dressing up pretty and decorating her home. She was a hair stylist in Navasota for years, and co-owner/operator, along with her sister Nina Ruth “Pookie” Crane, of Court of Two Sisters Hair Salon and later Hair Today until her retirement. Recent years found her and Pookey in business together again, this time operating a booth at First Monday Trade Days in Canton.
Mrs. Rabun loved the Lord with all of her heart, and trusted in His grace completely. She placed everything into His hands.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Eddie Rabun of Navasota, Steve and Dana Rabun of Montgomery and Scott and Tammy Rabun of Plantersville; sister and brother-in-law Nina Ruth “Pookey” and Stan Crane of Navasota; brothers and sisters-in-law Charles and Wanda Rhodes of North Zulch and Barbara Williams of Brenham; grandchildren Ashley Weaver, Amanda Poret, Chad Rabun, Abbie Rabun, Jared Martin, Casie Rabun, Calli Hernandez, Carly Rabun, Landon Rabun, Caleb Rabun and Caitlan Rabun; great-grandchildren Brooke, Brianna, Braylyn, Jeremy, Brenlee, Cody, Dalton, Carson, Sochia, Kyla, Colby, Bailey, Riley and Conner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to Charla Ann Busa for her loving care and healing touch.
