Mr. Marion "Knocker" Smith

Mr. M. L. "Knocker" Marion Smith, 84, of Navasota, passed away Tuesday, December 2nd at Gold Creek Nursing and Rehab Center. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 6th at 10:00AM at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Knocker was born in Fosteria, Texas on October 20, 1930 to Robert Lee and Bessie (Stowe) Smith. He married Nancy Callahan on December 13, 1955 and together had five children. He is survived by daughters and son-in-law Velinda Smith of Baytown, Chris and Kenny Duewall of Houston; sons and daughters-in-law Robert and Dorothy Smith of Navasota and Mike and Terri Smith of Humble; sister Bessie Holzfaster of Huntsville and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy, two brothers, Gus and Recie, two sisters Ethel Traylor and Lovis Kelly and son Jack Gus Smith.
