Ms. Margie Murchison Dressel, 73, of Iola, passed away Saturday, May 2nd, 2009 at her home. Funeral services are set for 10:00 am Wednesday at Nobles Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in Enon Cemetery in Iola.
Margie was born February 17, 1936 in Iola, to Roland and Frances (McCleney) Murchison, graduated from Iola High School and spent most of her life in Iola. She was a member of Enon Missionary Baptist Church and was an avid car racing fan and enjoyed her arts & crafts.
She is survived by her daughter, Tricia Willis Haynie of Bryan; sons, Larry Willis of Iola, and Barry Willis & wife Donna Ray of Iola; sister & brother-in-law, Nita & Lee Glass of Pasadena; grandchildren, Shauna Ramos, Angie Fleener, Tracy Willis, Patrick Willis, Steven Willis, Steven Keen, Tim Willis, Jamie Dahman, Eric Dahman, Randy Ray, Jimmy Keen, and Jeremy Keen; mothers of her grandchildren, Patsy Edwards & Cindy Willis; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mack Murchison; and grandson, Larry Mack Willis.
Serving as pallbearers are Tim Willis, Paul Fleener, Patrick Willis, Steven Willis, Steven Keen, Randy Ray, Eric Dahman, and Jeremy Keen.
