Mrs. Margaret Ruth Smith, 82, of Plantersville passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012, at her residence. Visitation will be Friday, May 11th from 5:00-7:00 pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel with a parish rosary to follow. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 12th at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Plantersville with Rev. Ed Kucera officiating. Rite of committal will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Margaret was born on Sunday, January 26, 1930, in Anderson, the daughter of Clarence & Stella (Nowak) Karonika.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, her 2 brothers, Wallace & Lee Karonika and her sister, Mary Walker.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband, Edmond Smith of Plantersville, her sons, Richard and Gary Smith, both of Plantersville and her sister in-law, Carrie Smith of Tomball.
Serving as pallbearers are Billy Lebeck of Plantersville, Jason Carraway of Plantersville, Larry Smith of Tomball, Mike Smith of Plantersville, Tommy Smith of Tomball and Danny Smith of Tomball.
