Mrs. Margaret Sheppard, 96, of Victoria passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011. A graveside service is set for 10:30am Monday in Oakland Cemetery in Navasota. Services are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Margaret was born in Childress, TX on March 14, 1915, the daughter of R.O. & Lena Mae (Barnett) McFarling. She is a past Worthy Matron & 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a volunteer for the Hospital Auxillary in Clarksville, TX for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Grady White & Zeno Sheppard; stepsons, Story Sheppard & Bob White; and sisters, Sue McFall & Lee Holt.
Survivors include her stepsons, Wayne Sheppard, Jerry Sheppard & wife Anita, all of Ft. Worth, and Bill White & wife Jackie of Houston; daughter-in-law, Peggy White of Bryan; niece, Sue Lynn Hatcher of Victoria; brother, R.O. McFarling, Jr. of Oxford, MS; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Guy Holt, Judd Sheppard, Marvin Lee, Jason Sheppard, John Lee and Scott Sheppard.
