Eleanor Luvenia (Allen) LaRose was born October 18, 1922 in Piedmont, TX and went to be with her Lord on December 4, 2010.
Luvenia had polio at age 2, which left her crippled. She rode a donkey, "Old Jenny", to school at Piedmont. She was laid to rest in the Allen Cemetery in Piedmont, TX.
Luvenia was preceded in death by her parents, Earl & Kate (Woodard) Allen; husband of 46 years, Edward Dean "Eddie" LaRose; daughter, Florence Marie Massey; sisters, Addie Rutledge and Clero Hurst; brothers, Mason Earl Allen, Milton Ellsworth Allen, and Charles Kenneth Allen.
Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Virginia Lee & Billy Driver; granddaughter, Tracy McDuffie & husband Bryan; grandsons, Timothy Lee Wooley & wife Tammy, and Marvin Edward Wooley & wife Nancy; son-in-law, Wayne Massey; brother, Cicero Allen of Anderson; sisters, Anna (Jo) Hansen of Columbus, and Kathryn Truehitt of Iola; sister-in-law, Doris Allen of Navasota; 8 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
