Luther Gerald Nobles, Sr, 75, of Washington passed away Thursday, October 18, 2007, at his residence.
Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Monday, October 22 at Oakland Cemetery with Dr. Max Brand officiating. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, October 21 at Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Nobles was born on October 18, 1932, in Navasota, son of Effie (Brewer) and Luther Floyd Nobles. He was a faithful member of Memorial Baptist Church and loved hunting, fishing, and watching the Dallas Cowboys football team.
Luther is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Debra Joyce and David Freeman of Navasota and Julie Anna Nobles of Washington; sons and daughter-in-law, Luther G. Jr and Rose Nobles of Washington and Rodney Floyd Nobles of Bryan; sisters, Lydia Fuqua, Ruby Faye Sage, and Bessie Harville, all of Navasota; brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Erna Nobles of Navasota and Gerald and Betty Nobles of Bryan; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Effie Nobles; wife, Joyce E. Nobles; sons, Jeffrey Roger Nobles and Michael Dwayne Nobles; granddaughter, Julie Ann Nobles; and great-granddaughter, Emma Rose Rameriz.
