Louise Keelan, 82, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 26, 2009. Visitation will be held Friday, February 27 from 5:30 to 7pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel, and Graveside service will be Saturday, February 28 at 10am in Oakland Cemetery, with Rev. Clyde Larrabee officiating.
She was raised in Ft. Worth and moved with her family to Navasota in the late 1940's. Shortly thereafter, she met and married R.F. "Dick" Keelan. She was a lifelong and active member of First Baptist Church. Her love of the Lord, of life and of learning made her an inspiration to all who knew her. She traveled extensively with family and various groups, was actively involved in bible study groups and took a variety of short courses for enjoyment. She was also an avid bridge player, participating in numerous clubs.
Her professional positions included bank teller, hospital office manager, and librarian. She was a devoted farmers wife and mother to four children.
Mrs. Keelan was preceded in death by her parents, J.A. & Edith Outlaw, her husband "Dick" and daughter Janet.
She is survived by her sons, R.F. Keelan, Jr., and David T. Keelan & wife Shelia; daughter, Kay Louise McLennan & husband Stu; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
