Louise B. Allen, 80, of Anderson, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007.
She was born on January 4, 1927, in Chireno, Texas, daughter of Ed McCarty and Adel Conway.
Mrs. Allen was a retired bookkeeper and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1989. She was currently serving as Worthy Matron of Navasota Chapter #309.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 8 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with Pastor Terry Swonke of Carlos Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Interment followed in St. Joseph Church Cemetery in Stoneham with Father Ed Kucera assisting with the graveside service.
Arrangements were under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband, A.G. Allen of Anderson; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and James Abshire of Plantersville; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Debbie Davis of Grenwell Springs, Louisiana; stepchildren, Garvin Allen of Bryan, Gail Allen of Piedmont and Suzette Allen of College Station; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William "Pete" Elliott, and her parents.
Serving as pallbearers were James Abshire, Jr. of Nacagdoches, James Sackman of Houston, Joseph Sackman of Tomball, Tommy Davis of Fort Worth, Garvin Allen of Bryan, and Clay Allen of Piedmont.
