Butch was born May 30, 1962 in Ft. Hood to Lonnie & Judy (Meineke) Pearson. As a young child he liked spending time in Yarbor with his grandmother and grandfather working the land and enjoying the outdoors. It was this land where he was raised and took the most pride in which soon led to be his greatest passion. He grew up in Yarbor and worked as a carpenter as a young teenager. Butch became extremely talented at his craft. Later in life, he worked in Tomball, TX for Luv Homes as the Service Manager where he was awarded annual accolades for his extraordinary customer service. It was not out of the ordinary to receive calls about how wonderful he was at his job or surprise gifts of appreciation from his hard work. His achievements led to his office receiving corporate recognition among other awards for superior service. Not only has his sense of morality made a lasting impression on family and friends, but this impact has been shared with many others along the way.
Married in 1983 to Cecelia Pearson, he is survived by his mother, Judy Pearson of Navasota; daughter & son-in-law, Stephanie & Ryan McGallion of Houston; son, Rodney Pearson of Navasota; and grandson, Kian McGallion of Houston. Butch was an only child and loved Judy with all his being. They spoke or saw each other daily, and he gave his everything to her. If he was not visiting with her, he was mowing the grass or repairing something she needed help with. Butch was her best friend in life. They sat and talked about their days often. He lived for his mother and wanted to make her happy. He was the BEST son she could have ever asked for. He was a wonderful Dad to Stephanie and Rodney. He taught his children many life lessons that have molded them into who they are today. He was a teacher of many things. He also had the opportunity to be a grandfather for two years that brought immense joy and happiness, forever changing his life. Kian brought a change to his life that no one else could give or take away from him. After many years, Lonnie recently returned to class to achieve his High School Diploma from Navasota, TX and was deemed successful. An achievement he was extremely very proud of. Lonnie lived life to the fullest and enjoyed making people smile. He had an enormous heart and would do anything to help someone in need. He was a son, father and friend to many and will be truly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, George & Mary Meineke, and John & Vertis Pearson.
